Watching this episode made me realize that life comes upon us with many tough decisions. Here, Mal has the big responsibility to decide whether to return the stolen cargo to the refugees or to receive money that is needed for fueling the ship and other necessary things for the crew.
I found the final scene where Mal and the crew had to work together to lose the other ship was intense. Even with Kaylee wounded, everyone remained calm and trusted each other. The crew members seemed to have some personal conflicts, but they were able to set that aside for the sake of each other. I believe trust is crucial and it is a key to success in any situation.

Thats a great point you made about everyone coming together. The crew of Serenity is very strong... everyone has their place where they thrive and together they work VERY well :)
ReplyDeleteI felt like that seen was pretty intense as well I wanted to see what was on the other ship.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of the camaraderie amongst the crew until you pointed that out. I think that scene might have had that very purpose, to show how well the crew can work together. We are probably supposed to get the hint that they are a tough bunch and aren't going down easily.
