I picked a paragraph with some quotes and sentences that back it up. It is within the middle body of my paper.
The whole significance of the second episode is that Angel was successful for his task of destroying a demon. Angel realizes that he does have the power to do good things and deeds for people who need the help. He understands that he does not have to hide from the world forever because of his previous life. Compared with the first episode, Angel is still uncomfortable accepting the new life he has come onto in L.A. It seems that with his friends, Doyle and Cordelia, Angel has developed a trust for them and is slowly opening up. Especially after the love relationship between him and Buffy, Angel has not fully recovered. For him not to have a beating heart, Angel still ended up with a broken heart. He thought he found a life set for him and, instead, ended up with a life filled with remorse and pain.
As I continued to write, I found more supportive examples to relate to what I am trying to say.

The way you're using "for" in this passage complicates your sentences. "Angel was successful for his task"? "Angel has developed a trust for them"? "For him not to have a beating heart"?
ReplyDeleteThink about how you could rewrite those phrases without "for."
